Coaching and facilitation services in Manchester to help individuals and teams move forward

Most people don’t come looking for coaching or facilitation because everything is going well.

They come because something needs to shift.

I work with individuals and organisations across Manchester and the wider UK, offering leadership coaching, team facilitation, focus groups and practical workshops that help people think clearly, work through challenges and make real progress.

That might be stepping into a new role, leading a team that is not quite aligned, handling difficult conversations, or trying to move something forward that feels stuck.

This page gives you an overview of how I can help and what working together might look like.

No jargon. No overcomplication. Just practical support that leads to clear next steps.

Coaching for clarity, confidence and direction

I provide leadership coaching for managers and senior leaders who want to step back, think clearly and handle the challenges of their role with more confidence.

People often come to coaching when:

  • They’re stepping into a new role

  • They’re managing a team and feeling stretched

  • They need to handle difficult conversations

  • They want to feel more confident in their decisions

Coaching creates space to think, reflect and work through real situations.

It’s practical, focused and tailored to what you’re dealing with day to day.

Facilitation for teams that need alignment and progress

I design and facilitate team sessions and away days that lead to clear decisions and action.

This is useful when:

  • A team needs to reset or realign

  • There’s been change or uncertainty

  • You want to improve how the team works together

  • You need time to step back and plan

Sessions are structured so they don’t drift.

You leave with agreed priorities, clear actions and ownership of next steps.

Focus groups that give you honest insight and clear themes

I design and run focus groups and one-to-one conversations to help organisations understand people’s experiences more clearly.

This is particularly useful when:

  • You want honest feedback on culture or ways of working

  • There are sensitive topics that need careful handling

  • You need an independent voice to gather insight

  • You want to understand themes across a group

I create a space where people feel comfortable to speak openly, and I draw out clear themes and practical insights that can be acted on.

This work is often used to inform decisions, shape future plans or support wider organisational change.

Workshops and training that lead to practical change

I deliver practical workshops on topics that affect how people work day to day.

This includes:

  • Communication at work

  • Running effective meetings

  • Accessible writing and documents

  • Personal effectiveness

These sessions are grounded in real situations, not theory, and give people something they can use straight away.

How the work fits together

These areas often overlap.

For example:

  • A coaching conversation might highlight the need for a team session

  • A facilitation session might lead to follow-up coaching

  • A focus group might highlight themes that lead to workshops or action planning

  • A workshop might support wider changes in how a team works

The approach is flexible and shaped around what will be most useful.

Who I work with

Most of my work is with:

  • Universities

  • Public sector organisations

  • Leadership teams

  • Managers navigating change

I understand the realities of these environments and how to keep things practical.

Common question

Do you only work in Manchester?

No, I work across the UK and can deliver sessions in person or online.

How long are sessions?

Coaching sessions are usually around an hour. Team sessions and focus groups are typically between 90 minutes and a half day, depending on what you need.

Can you tailor sessions to our organisation?

Yes. Everything is shaped around your context and what you need to achieve.

Do you offer one-off sessions or ongoing support?

Both. Some clients want a single piece of work, others want ongoing support over time.
